Jun 29, 2011 · Only tractor of that size and vintage that I ever saw with a loader on it was a TO20 Ferguson. The loader for it did fit the 8N because at one time Dad had it on ours. I think the loader was a Ferguson or Dearborn make. It was somehow controlled by the 3 pt and had connections to the rear linkage. No hydraulics at all on the loader itself.

Feb 01, 2015 · Tractor. 1951 8n ford. Was wondering if anyone on here was running a Paulsen front end loader on a 8n or 9n. If yes and it wouldn't be to much trouble to snap me a couple pics of a certain area of the loader. Wanting pics of where the box beam mounts near the front by the oil pan. The Paulson loader mounts easily, has enough lift capacity to be useful without risk of breaking the front end, is step-through so you can get on the tractor easily, and is light enough to allow a little guy like me to be able to use it without power steering. Some repairs were done following the tractor purchase, but the old tractor really needed a thorough rebuild. So, in January 2003, the work began. This tractor had been equipped with front-end loader at some point in its life. One of the mounting brackets was still in place on the front axle when I bought it.

The earliest series of the Ford tractors made, easily identified by their flat head engine style, the 9N tractor, 2N tractor, and 8N tractor were all basically the same with a few exceptions, the 2N and 9N had a 3 speed transmission while the 8N had a 4th gear added.
